National Level Symposia

Technical symposia are conducted with a view to improve the presentation and communication skills, exchanging technical know-how, strengthening organizing capacity and developing interpersonal skills of the students.

National level technical symposiums are organized and numbers of papers are received from students of Tamil Nadu and other states. (Netzwork’03, Synergy’05, Synergy’06, Synergy’07, Synergy’08, Synergy’09, etc)  The students are encouraged and allowed to participate in inter-departmental and inter-institutional competitions as well.

Eminent professionals from academic institutions and experts from industries are invited to deliver speeches / lectures on topics of prime importance in the related fields. Participating in these lectures improves the presentation methodology of the students in addition to the exposure they gain to the outside real world problems.  Some of the topics are beyond the scope of the syllabus but currently needed also are covered.

Students Co-curricular & Extra Curricular Activities

Industrial Visits:

Industrial visits are organized for the students to get a chance to gain and get to know variety of real world problems of industry. This helps them to gain knowledge about the latest technical inclines of the industry. The college has informal collaboration with leading companies. The students are encouraged to take up projects or training as part of their curriculum in these industries / organizations.
The students are encouraged to take up aptitude examinations and group discussions to boost their communication skills.  The Placement Cell is highly charged and works as a stepping ladder to place the students in good and reputed organizations and achieved commutable results.

Besides these, the students are encouraged to participate in extra curricular activities and they have come out with flying colors.
We feel proud to state that we have a separate library for an intake of 120 students each year that provides sufficient number of books including the latest references or books referred to by faculty and students. 
The students stepping out of this department are molded to excel in positions with challenging roles to play in the developing IT arena. Hence, it is needless to say that the students from this department are an asset to the nation.
