ANTI-RAGGING

    Ragging is banned in the University campus and outside the campus. In connection with this, the University Grants Commission issued Regulations on Curbing the Menace of Ragging in Higher Education Institutions,2009.The guidelines framed to stop ragging are now available on the UGC website www.ugc.ac.in. The Tamilnadu government provides a link on the homepage of the website www.tn.police.gov.in to facilitate filing of the complaints of ragging.
    If students indulge in any behaviour or act that may be constituted as ragging under the Regulations, they are liable for punishment under the penal law of the land including the cancellation of admission.
    For the benefit of the students, a Nodal Officer is appointed. Anti-ragging Committee has been constituted. Anti-ragging Squad has been formed to curb ragging.The affected students can complain to the Nodal Officer for taking further action at the University level.
